Bedtime Stories Prehistory: Friends in feathers and fur
In a 1962 AP story, Burgess remembers his favorite book from childhood. It was not Aim! Fire! Bang! Stories, as stated in his autobiography. Rather it was one in a series of natural history readers for children: Friends in feathers and fur (1885) by James Johonnot.
